As you know, this was our first foray into the restaurant business…something we hadn’t ever really considered before we fell in love with Woodside’s history and promise. It was our goal to restore it to its former beauty and standing as a much-loved place for the special moments in the lives of those who lived in the surrounding communities. We have been honored to have weddings, showers, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements and funerals here…many involving the same families.
We are proud of the renovations and proud of our time as caretakers of this historic treasure…the last of the Inns from 1920’s in this area. Normally, a business would continue to operate while for sale and during the transition to a new owner. Due to some health issues in my (Gayle’s) family, both our manager Jose (who is also my nephew) and I need to be spending some time in Florida. We also want to give our amazing staff who are like family to us, some time to find the next lucky people they will work with and for.
Our head Chef Andrew has agreed to work for us in another capacity at Spring Mountain, thus insuring that we can take care of the events that we have booked with the same delicious food, and other staff have agreed to continue to serve and bartend as needed. We are also working with a local catering business to handle any events that the community would still like to rent Woodside for during the transition to a future new owner. This information will be on our website soon. Please use your gift cards before the end of February to ensure getting the value from them.
Thank you for sharing your special moments with us….and letting us share ours with you. We ask for your prayers for my younger sisters, Heather whose breast cancer, gone for 3 years, has metastasized and for Debbie who has early onset Alzheimer’s and lives with Heather.
