In l976 the Wester Jersey Farm began with a family cow named Dumplins. As our family grew to 5 children our herd grew into a business numbering over 100 dairy cows plus young stock. Since dairy cows take much attention we found ourselves unable to leave the farm. We started inviting folks in for breakfast to enjoy much needed fellowship. It was then Farmer Al decided to start a Bed & Breakfast, which was a natural outcome of our belief that farming is a noble venture and our modern society is more and more isolated from its food source.
In 2005 the cottages were built housing 5 guests in each. In 2010 we sold our farm and built a new home housing 2 suits increasing capacity up to 16 guests. We encourage folks to be up close and personal with our big brown-eyed, Jersey Dairy cows. They tend to exude a calming effect by being in no hurry in our hurry-up world. Our brown hens are on the job laying nutritious large brown eggs that surprise many guests when they help gather them.
We invite you to join us for a night or an extended period of time year round!
