Description
Come and experience with us a delightful change in accommodations, featuring southern nostalgia and a genuine bit of Civil War history. The house is a plantation home built in the 1850’s with five bedrooms.
As you step through the front door you go back 150 years in time to an era when life was simpler, and the home was the center of family life. You will stay in a house typical of the architecture of the middle class plantation owner in the years before the War between the States. The interior walls are 16″-18″ wide boards made of unpainted southern longleaf yellow pine.
Enjoy our spacious living room with fireplace and beautiful old hand carved mantel where the coffee is always on for our guests. Smokers can relax sitting in rockers on the front porch enjoying the view of the lake.
