Description
Since 2001, the Stagecoach House Inn has provided guests with warm and cozy accommodations. The beautifully restored historic building is owned by Deb and Bill Bokon. It is located on the Wood River in the village of Wyoming, town of Richmond, RI. The original, Victorian styled structure was built in 1796, and was once a stopover for stagecoaches passing through the area, and offered tired travelers a place to spend the night.
Our hotel embraces a combination of the old and the new. Throughout the inn, you will see original beams and granite, along with two fireplaces dating back to the late 1700s. Our lobby features rocking chairs, a large fireplace and a player piano for guests to enjoy. The front porch overlooks a garden of trees and shrubs that replicate the original landscape. The view from our upper river deck is spectacular, and we invite you to sit back and relax in one of our Adirondack chairs, listen to the sounds of the waterfall and watch nature at its best.
Love fishing? Walk down to the river and cast a line for the best trout fishing in the state! You may even see one of the native hawks or osprey swoop down into the river as they do some fishing of their own. Canoe and kayak rentals available at the local bait store. Catch large trout and salmon right out your backdoor!
