Description
The 1917 Bluethenthal Mansion at 1704 Market Street is on the National Register of Historic Places. The brick, two and one-half story, Georgian Revival house was designed by architects James F. Gause, Jr., and James B. Lynch for prominent local business man, Herbert Bluethenthal and his wife Janet.
Hospitality and history meet when you enter. Angie’s Bed and Breakfast has welcomed guests from local Wilmington, North Carolina residents to guests from all across the country. Your stay is sure to be a relaxing and entertaining memory for years to come.
The house sits far back from the street on a large lot. The entrance is particularly well detailed. Centrally located in the five-bay façade, it is composed of an open pediment above a round-arched entrance with flanking sidelights.
The interior is furnished with reproductions and antiques. A large side porch is available for rocking, relaxing and visiting. For your comfort there is central air conditioning.
Guests are treated to a sumptuous complimentary breakfast in the large dining room and there is plenty to see and do nearby. Please contact us for more information, or to book a reservation.
