Mike, Susan and their 3 children moved back to Gilboa, NY from Tyler, TX in 1989. They are the 6th generation owners of this farm and this homestead was where Susan was raised, as was her father a generation before. After returning to New York and buying the family farm, they started massive renovations and upgrades that would improve the buildings and facilities. Most of the work was done by Mike and Sue themselves, with help from a variety of gifted carpenters and craftsman over the years.

Susan has knowledge of the surroundings and local history as she grew up right on this same piece of land. She is a descendant of David Ellerson, the famous Indian scout.

Mike runs the lodge. Mike is an avid sportsman, hunter, and fisherman who has a vast knowledge of the ins and outs of hunting here in the Catskills.
