Description
Our historic Albuquerque bed and breakfast provides comfortable beds and cozy rooms. The Mauger Estate Bed and Breakfast (pronounced Major) is an intimate, restored 1897 Queen Anne residence, where high ceilings and rich woodwork offer you an old-world experience. The B&B family takes great pride in welcoming curious travelers and locals to experience Albuquerque from inside one of the oldest homes in the city. The B&B was ordered to be built in 1897 which was 15 years before New Mexico was made official as the 47th state in 1912. The home is a gorgeous example of the rare but classic, Queen Anne Victorian style that can only be found in Downtown and Nob Hill, sprinkled amongst the traditional adobe style architecture we are known for. Our home also features the original artwork of Scar Letta of Art Nueva who is one of New Mexico’s most talented female artists. Her absolutely stunning mix of Victorian era Art Nouveau influences and her signature bone art and beading, has resulted in the extraordinary masterpieces that grace the walls of our home. These beautiful blends of culture, style, and history are exactly what New Mexico is known for, which is why the house is a perfect emblem of our cities spirit. Come and enjoy local beer and wine in the evening, play a game of poker, or meet new friends with us. Our relaxing environment and superior hospitality is what makes the Mauger Estate the best bed and breakfast in Albuquerque!
