The 1828 Trail Inn at 10 West Main Street, Hancock, MD, overlooks the historic C & O Canal, Rail Trail (former Western Maryland Railroad), and the Potomac River. Named for the date of the beginning of the race between railroad and canal builders to open up commerce between Maryland and the Ohio River Valley, our homes offer a comfortable base for biking, canoeing, antiquing, siteseeing, or just relaxing our the wraparound porch or back deck. Bikers feel comfortable using our secure bike storage.
