The house was built in 1850 and was put on the National Register of Historical Places in 1977. The suites of the Bed and Breakfast are located in the octogon, ell and attached barn portions of the property and are spacious, relaxing, and comfortable. The delicious breakfasts will be the perfect start to your day’s activities. The Pressey House is less than a 10 minute drive to Colby College and Thomas College and also offers wireless internet service for our guests.
The Pressey House is located in the Belgrade Lakes region on the north end of Messalonskee Lake in the small town of Oakland. Messalonskee Lake offers swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing in the summer and skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter.
