Description
If you want a quiet, traditional Bed and Breakfast, The Peacock House is just what you are looking for. The innkeepers, Mary Beth and Jim Hoffman will make you feel right at home in a friendly, unassuming style. Attention to detail with guest comfort in mind is our primary focus. Conveniently located on peaceful Summer Street in the village center, Peacock House is just 3 blocks from shopping and restaurants. Enjoy a leisurely walk to the Lubec Channel to enjoy a dinner overlooking the channel and with any luck you’ll spot some seals there in the water. The West Quoddy Light house, Campobello Island and the FDR Park are just minutes from Peacock House by car. It is not uncommon to experience whale sightings from the Campobello island beaches or you can book a whale watch cruise locally. The area is a birder’s and hiker’s paradise.
Mary Beth and Jim relocated to Lubec, Maine from Pennsylvania and now call Lubec their year-round home. They are genuinely interested in making your stay in Lubec and at Peacock House the best experience possible. Play the Medium Grand Piano, or the acoustic guitar, join other guests in the Sun Room, read quietly in the Library – whatever you want to do – just let them know and every effort will be made to meet your request. Information about hiking and things to do in the area is readily available and your innkeepers would be thrilled to talk to you about what to do based on your interests. You will feel at ease and welcome upon arrival.
