A Freeport landmark since 1925, Nicholson Inn has a long tradition of hospitality. Norman and Martha Nicholson acquired this elegant building in 1930 and from that time through the 40s and 50s it became a synonym for warmth and welcome.

The Nicholson’s granddaughter Jane, and her husband Alden, have been carrying on the tradition for over fifteen years.

Working with love and respect for the Inn’s architectural integrity, the Grants have updated, renovated and modernized the facility, giving careful thought to providing the maximum amount of comfort and convenience their guests could require.

Jane and Alden are both Freeport natives and knowledgeable about Freeport’s history. They will be delighted to provide you with helpful information about where to go and what to see while you are visiting the area. The Nicholson Inn is only 500 steps from L.L. Bean and within an easy walk to the entire shopping district.
