Description
Few inns along the Maine coast offer the unique setting and style of the Castine Inn. The peaceful, historic village of Castine is situated on the tip of a peninsula overlooking Penobscot Bay, one of the world’s loveliest cruising grounds.
Built in 1898, this historic Inn stands one block from the harbor on Main Street. The Inn is a simply elegant building surrounded by a wraparound porch and beautiful, well-maintained perennial gardens overlooking the active harbor. Inside, guests are warmly greeted in the spacious front hall with a lovely sitting room and Modockawando’s, a cozy pub located on the main floor.
Upstairs on the second and third floors, nineteen guest rooms with private baths lay on both sides of the wide halls. Our newly refurnished rooms feature the finest European linens and room amenities and five of our rooms include air conditioning.
Come relax and soak in the Castine Inn’s warm atmosphere while you sample the charm of our historic village.
