Description
When you visit Savannah, your hotel should be a part of your experience. A stay at The Marshall House includes wine, music, history talks and more — all set in a historic hotel built in 1851. Join us at The Marshall House for a true Savannah experience filled with vintage authenticity, character and charm.
Here are few reasons you’ll have more fun at The Marshall House.
It used to be a hospital for Civil War soldiers. In 1864-65, the Marshall House was occupied by Union troops led by General William Tecumseh Sherman. The building was actually used as a Union hospital at the end of the Civil War. Historic photographs and documents are framed and displayed throughout the hotel, and the 3rd Floor features our Civil War Era art collection.
It’s rumored haunted. If you get a kick out of Savannah’s supernatural vibe, you’ll have fun with our haunted reputation. But have no fear! Our spirits are some of Savannah’s friendliest ghosts.
