Point Arena is a quiet coastal town located three hours north of San Francisco. It can be reached along scenic Highway One providing famous ocean vistas. Point Arena is in southern Mendocino County twenty minutes north of Gualala and fifty minutes south of the town of Mendocino.

The traveler can experience a quaint town with the beautifully restored art-deco Arena Theater; small shops featuring the works of local artists; a few casual restaurants, spectacular, unspoiled and uncrowded beaches and of course the majestic Point Arena Lighthouse.

Arena Cove is one mile west of Point Arena and Highway One. This location off the main road provides a unique solitude not found elsewhere on the north coast. Arena Cove is home to the municipal pier and dining.
