Description
Barb has been the “helping hands” person for the mid-west assisting future and new innkeepers for over 25 years and has an onsite innkeepers training program. Always entrepreneurial by nature. Arkansas Off the Beaten Path by Patti DeLano says “She knows every street and path and is a goldmine of information…..”
I collect a little bit of everything, art, folk art, Coca Cola, blue bottles, cast iron stove parts, old Ponds jars which you will find buried in the garden pathway along with other items that were found on the grounds.
I discovered that part of living in a small village is that you don’t throw things away because you might just might need it someday. I don’t throw things away, I just buy another house to put them into.
My degree is a BFA in interior design which I did for two years in Atlanta at Rich’s, the largest and most famous store in the South for over 125 years, then I taught art in the public schools grades 7-12 for 9 years….three years in Atlanta and six in Houston. I managed some art galleries in between the two jobs.
After teaching I became a remodeling contractor in Houston. One Fall I visited Eureka and the love affair with town began. I bought 11 Singleton in 1983. Later I bought 10 and 9 Singleton and had monthly renters in both with my office in the first floor unit at #10.
