Description
Somerset House in Talladega, Alabama is located just blocks from one of Alabama’s most historic town squares. Built in 1905, this beautiful colonial plantation-style house is on the National Register of Historic Places. Rich in history, it was renovated extensively in 1993 as a bed and breakfast. Today, Somerset House continues the tradition of fine southern hospitality with its four elegant and comfortable guests rooms each with a large private bathroom and our full gourmet breakfasts.
Each guestroom features one queen sized bed, a fireplace, 10 foot ceilings, antique and antique reproduction furniture, private bathroom, cable television, access to Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board, robes and slippers, hairdryer and toiletries.
A petite grand (player) piano is located in the front parlor and the library may be used for conversation, reading, games or just relaxing. The full length verandas on the first and second floors, with ceiling fans on the second, offer share and privacy where one can relax, enjoy refreshments, chat, read or just enjoy the day passing.
